Jon Bannenberg Heritage, 2024 Comprehensive Refit – A Feadship with Soul
Conceived by Jon Bannenberg and built by Feadship for Emilio Azcárraga, the 164ft “Koru” (ex-Azteca) is a living artifact of superyacht history, thoroughly modernized by a two-year refit finished in April 2024. Presented in immaculate condition, she fuses classic lines with contemporary systems, connectivity and deck architecture.

LOA 49.95 m (163.68 ft) • Beam 27.59 ft • Max draft 8.17 ft • GT ~435. Aluminum hull and superstructure. Full-beam hull form, extended stern and a refreshed superstructure profile create a stately silhouette with generous outdoor living.
Powertrain & Range
Twin MTU 16V 538 TE82 diesels (~5,294 hp combined), W6 overhaul recently completed with ~500 hrs. Cruise ~18 knots, top ~20 knots. Fuel ~13,208 gal for approx. 2,000 nm. Vosper Thornycroft stabilizers, Skeen bow thruster, V-drive propulsion and comprehensive noise insulation deliver poised passage-making.
Reimagined Interiors
Accommodation for 10 guests in 5 staterooms: full-beam master (lower), VIPs on main and lower, plus two twins - all en-suite. The 2024 interior redesign introduces custom furniture, layered lighting and a warm contemporary tone. A cinema-capable salon, refined dining and a professional galley elevate the onboard experience. Crew for up to 9 across 5 cabins, including a captain’s cabin on main deck.
Tech & Connectivity
Dual radars, gyro and magnetic compasses, autopilot, depth, weather fax, dual GPS, wind/speed log, Navtex and integrated plotting via ship’s computer. Starlink brings modern bandwidth; Hikvision CCTV (8 cams/2 monitors) secures key zones. RINA compliance reconfirmed in 2021.
Deck Life & Toys
New sun deck design with broad lounging, alfresco dining and panoramic views. Extended swim platform, tender/toy staging and refreshed teak enhance barefoot living. Inclusions feature a Castoldi 7.5m diesel jet tender, Zodiac crew tender, 2× Yamaha EX jet skis, Yamaha Superjet and dive compressors.
