Description

The Hyères Islands are where the Riviera slows down and becomes more naturally protected - clearer water, stricter environmental rules, quieter anchorages, and a sense that you are cruising through a curated marine sanctuary rather than simply hopping between glamorous ports. Starting from Port de Saint-Tropez gives you the operational strength and marina standards that make the first day simple: premium facilities, efficient services, and excellent connectivity, all supporting a well-organized embarkation. This refined bareboat charter is built for experienced sailors who want the freedom to manage their own week while still appreciating a professionally managed service that keeps documentation, briefing procedures, and marina coordination smooth. From Saint-Tropez, the south-west route into the Hyères archipelago delivers an ideal balance of protected nature, calm cruising distances, and service ports that make provisioning and refueling easy when needed.

About Our Service in Port de Saint-Tropez - Porquerolles, Port-Cros, Île de Bagaud, Giens, Toulon and Le Lavandou

This weekly bareboat service supports independent sailors with a clear, customer-focused reservation process and operational assistance that remains available when needed. Before departure, a structured briefing covers boat handling, safety procedures, navigation essentials, and the specific local considerations that matter in this region - mooring buoy rules, anchoring restrictions, environmental compliance within national park zones, and practical timing strategies to secure permitted overnight arrangements. The itinerary below is designed to feel calm yet complete: shorter legs allow time for swimming and island exploration, while Toulon provides a strategic full-service stop to keep logistics easy. As always, exact anchoring and mooring practices must align with local regulations and conditions, and your daily timing can be adjusted to suit weather and comfort.

Day 1 - Saint-Tropez to Porquerolles Depart late morning and cruise around three hours to Porquerolles, one of the region’s most celebrated island stops. Because anchoring restrictions apply, the plan typically involves mooring buoys or marina berths depending on availability and regulations. Arriving with daylight margin allows you to secure your position calmly and begin enjoying the island rather than negotiating logistics late in the day. Porquerolles is ideal for a first island afternoon: clear water swimming, relaxed shore exploration, and the sense that you have entered a more protected, nature-forward Mediterranean environment. The evening feels peaceful here, especially when the yacht is settled early and the cockpit becomes your sunset lounge.

Day 2 - Porquerolles to Port-Cros A short one-hour cruise brings you into Port-Cros National Park, where strict environmental rules preserve a level of water clarity and natural calm that makes the destination famous. Arriving before midday helps secure permitted mooring or anchoring options and keeps your day relaxed. Activities are naturally guided by the park setting: snorkeling in designated areas, hiking trails that reveal panoramic island views, and quiet onboard living that respects the environment. Many areas have restrictions that affect generator use and overnight behavior, so thoughtful compliance is part of what keeps the experience genuinely high quality.

Day 3 - Port-Cros to Île de Bagaud Sail around one hour toward Île de Bagaud, a sensitive and restricted access area with limited anchoring possibilities. This day is designed around calm conditions and careful planning. The objective is not “busy sightseeing” but a quieter, conservation-minded stop focused on scenery, minimal-impact swimming, and respectful enjoyment of a protected zone. Arriving and positioning the yacht carefully, in line with applicable rules, allows you to enjoy a rare kind of Mediterranean experience - a place that feels less touched and therefore more valuable.

Day 4 - Île de Bagaud to Giens Peninsula Depart mid-morning for a one-and-a-half-hour cruise to the Giens Peninsula. This is a flexible day where your comfort depends on choosing the right sheltered anchorage for the prevailing wind direction. Once settled, the afternoon is perfect for beach time, swimming, and a slower onboard routine. The Giens area gives you that “in between” feeling - close enough to the mainland for convenience, yet still surrounded by the protected-water atmosphere that makes this route so enjoyable.

Day 5 - Giens Peninsula to Toulon A two-hour cruise brings you into Toulon, a major port that provides full marina services and makes this day a practical reset point. Toulon is valuable on a bareboat itinerary because it simplifies logistics: refuel with confidence, take on water, provision properly, and address any minor needs that keep the yacht operating smoothly. It is also a good day for the crew to rest and enjoy shore access without needing to worry about anchoring constraints. With services handled, you re-enter the final portion of the week in a strong, well-prepared position.

Day 6 - Toulon to Le Lavandou Cruise east for approximately three hours along the coast to Le Lavandou. This leg is enjoyable because it blends coastal scenery with the anticipation of a calmer final night. Depending on conditions, you can include a measured swim stop and still arrive early enough to choose anchorage or marina options comfortably. Le Lavandou delivers a peaceful overnight setting that feels like a soft landing after the more regulated national park days and the service-heavy Toulon stop.

Day 7 - Le Lavandou to Saint-Tropez A comfortable two-hour sail returns you to Port de Saint-Tropez with a late-morning arrival that keeps the charter’s conclusion relaxed. With ample time for marina approach and post-charter procedures, the week ends cleanly and calmly - exactly as a refined bareboat experience should.

About Our Catamaran - Lagoon 42

The Lagoon 42 suits the Hyères Islands route exceptionally well because it is designed for stable, comfortable living at sea - and this itinerary includes multiple days where your enjoyment depends on how good the yacht feels at anchor. The catamaran platform provides a calm base, reducing motion and making swim routines easier and safer. The cockpit is generous and inviting, with teak-finished outdoor areas that elevate the experience and shaded lounging space that supports long Mediterranean afternoons. The flow between cockpit and saloon is seamless, which means meals, relaxation, and daily living feel natural rather than cramped or compartmentalized.

Inside, the bright saloon and panoramic views create a calm atmosphere that enhances the sense of escape. Comfortable cabins with private facilities support privacy and harmony for groups, and the layout supports practical bareboat living with ease. From a handling perspective, the yacht is designed to feel intuitive and manageable, which matters when you are transitioning between mooring systems, marina berths, and regulated anchorage zones. Overall, it delivers the refined confidence that lets you focus on the destination rather than constantly managing the boat’s comfort limitations.

This service is one of the strongest bareboat options for the Hyères region because it combines a prestigious Saint-Tropez start with an itinerary that highlights protected nature while remaining realistically paced. The Hyères Islands are popular because they offer the Riviera’s most rewarding water clarity and the most peaceful anchor experiences - but they require good planning and respect for regulations to enjoy properly. That is why a professionally managed base service matters: you start with clarity, briefing strength, and support standards that reduce avoidable stress. Availability is limited to protect preparation quality and keep the experience exclusive rather than overcrowded. If you want Porquerolles, Port-Cros, and the Hyères archipelago in a week that feels calm, compliant, and genuinely premium - this Lagoon 42 bareboat charter from Saint-Tropez is built to deliver it.
