Weekly Bareboat Yacht Charter in the Saronic Gulf – Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45 from Athens

Athens’ Alimos Marina places the calm, culture-rich Saronic islands within effortless reach. This independent, Saturday-to-Saturday bareboat gives you the reins: plot an island circuit that blends lively harbor towns with quiet, emerald anchorages, all within comfortable day-sail distances. With predictable weather windows, easy provisioning, and moorings that reward early arrivals, the Saronic is the ideal arena for families, couples, and groups who want freedom without the long open-water legs. You’ll embark with a complete technical and safety briefing, local tips, and a well-prepared Sun Odyssey 45—fresh from a 2025 refit—ready to carry you from Aegina and Poros to Spetses, Hydra, and back via tranquil Agistri.

About Our Service in the Saronic Gulf

Check in at 17:00 on Saturday at Alimos Marina and stock up with supermarkets and marine stores right beside the quay. Our team will share route ideas tailored to your crew, highlight sheltered bays for northerlies, and suggest harbor-arrival strategies during busier hours. Linen, towels, dinghy, and safety equipment are included; optional extras such as an outboard engine, paddleboards, skipper, hostess, early check-in, or private transfers can be arranged in advance. You’ll steer your own course each day, with our shoreside support on hand should you want weather updates or a quick anchorage consult.

Day 1 – Saturday: Athens (Alimos) to Perdika, Aegina
After the handover and provisioning, shape a late-afternoon course for Perdika. The compact fishing harbor lines up tavernas facing the islet of Moni—perfect for a first dinner ashore and a restful night on board.

Day 2 – Sunday: Perdika to Poros
Begin with a swim or a dinghy hop to Moni’s clear water and wildlife. Mid-morning, set a short passage to Poros Town. Its neoclassical waterfront, café culture, and sunset views from the clocktower deliver that classic Greek-island welcome. Overnight in port for an easy stroll from quay to dinner.

Day 3 – Monday: Poros to Spetses
A scenic reach leads to Spetses, where horse-drawn carriages, stately mansions, and the Bouboulina Museum frame a shoreline steeped in naval history. Wander the old harbor and choose between lively waterfront restaurants or a quieter taverna tucked into the lanes.

Day 4 – Tuesday: Spetses to Kyparissi (Peloponnese)
Cross to the Peloponnese for Kyparissi, a gem ringed by mountains and olive groves. The water glows turquoise against a dramatic backdrop; afternoons disappear into swimming, paddleboarding, and village ambles. With minimal light pollution, evenings here are relaxed and star-filled.

Day 5 – Wednesday: Kyparissi to Agioi Anargyroi, Spetses
Return to Spetses for time at anchor in Agioi Anargyroi’s bay. Snorkel in clear water, explore nearby caves by dinghy, and enjoy a long lunch from the cockpit. Settle in for a calm night with easy shelter.

Day 6 – Thursday: Spetses to Hydra, then Russian Bay (Poros)
Get an early start for Hydra, an island famous for stone mansions, boutique galleries, and car-free lanes. After a stroll and a coffee by the quay, continue to Russian Bay on Poros—an inviting anchorage for an evening swim and sunset dinner aboard.

Day 7 – Friday: Russian Bay to Aponisos (Agistri), then Athens (Alimos)
Glide to Aponisos’ lagoon-like waters for a last unhurried swim and midday pause. By afternoon, point the bow toward Athens to secure your berth at Alimos. Celebrate with a final night on board, re-living the week’s highlights.

Day 8 – Saturday: Check-Out
Disembark at 09:00 following the technical inspection and fuel settlement, closing a loop of short, satisfying passages and varied island experiences.

About Our Yacht – Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45

Purpose-built for comfortable cruising, the Sun Odyssey 45 brings confident performance and easy sail handling. At 14.15 m with a 4.37 m beam and 2.05 m draft, it feels stable under way and spacious at anchor—and that modest draft opens up shallower coves throughout the Saronic. The yacht’s 2014 build with a 2025 refit ensures refreshed interiors and updated gear. A 75 HP engine simplifies docking; 240 L fuel and 450 L water let you roam between ports without rushing. The furling mainsail keeps reefing and hoists fuss-free for mixed-experience crews.

Four cabins accommodate up to ten guests, centered around a bright saloon ideal for chart briefings and family meals. On deck, the large cockpit is the social hub after swims at anchor; broad side decks and firm handholds emphasize safe movement. With a tender for shore runs and optional toys, you can tailor each day’s rhythm—coffee under way, a swim stop before lunch, a meander ashore at dusk.

Why This Saronic Bareboat Is a Smart Choice

Shorter legs, predictable breezes, and welcoming harbors create a rewarding rhythm for weeklong cruising. The itinerary balances cultural highlights—Hydra’s stone lanes, Spetses’ maritime heritage—with quiet lagoon-style anchorages such as Aponisos and Russian Bay. You retain full independence while enjoying responsive shoreside support. Combined with Alimos Marina’s unrivaled provisioning and transport links, it’s a streamlined, confidence-inspiring way to sample the Saronic’s best in just seven days. Secure your dates early to match your preferred season and ensure first-pick berths in the most popular ports.
