Athens Bareboat Weekly Charter - Saronic Gulf Route

Launch from Alimos Marina for a skipper-led adventure that trades long passages for close-set islands, protected waters, and culture-rich harbor towns. The Saronic Gulf is the go-to playground for laid-back cruising: distances are short, shelter is abundant, and marinas and anchorages sit within easy reach of each other. You’ll enjoy the independence of a private bareboat while staying close to tavernas, swimming coves, and postcard waterfronts that make every evening feel like a mini arrival celebration. Saturday to Saturday scheduling gives you a full week aboard with simple departure and return logistics.

About Our Service in the Saronic Gulf

Your week begins with a 17:00 embarkation in Alimos, including a detailed technical handover and safety orientation. From there the course arcs through Aegina, Poros, and Spetses, then across to the Peloponnese at Kyparissi before looping back via Hydra, Agistri, and finally Athens. It’s a wonderfully balanced itinerary that pairs car-free old towns and neoclassical quays with quiet, green bays for swimming and sun-slow afternoons. As with any bareboat, you can adjust legs day by day to match conditions and the crew’s energy.

Day 1 - Saturday: Alimos Marina → Perdika (Aegina)
Get settled at 17:00, stock the galley, and run through the systems checklist. Make the easy sail to Perdika, a fishing village with waterside tavernas looking across to the islet of Moni. Enjoy dinner ashore or relax in the cockpit as the sunset colors the harbor. Overnight at anchor or on a buoy where available.

Day 2 - Sunday: Perdika → Poros
Begin with a swim or dinghy trip to Moni’s nature reserve, then shape a short wake toward Poros Town. The neoclassical waterfront and hillside clocktower set a striking scene for an afternoon of café-hopping and harbor wandering. Secure a berth along the quay and soak up the island’s friendly nightlife.

Day 3 - Monday: Poros → Spetses
Continue to elegant Spetses, known for captain’s mansions, horse-carriage promenades, and a proud maritime history. Visit the Bouboulina Museum, walk the old harbor, and enjoy sophisticated dining along the water. It’s a superb stop for people-watching and sunset strolls.

Day 4 - Tuesday: Spetses → Kyparissi (Peloponnese)
Cross to the Peloponnese and discover Kyparissi, a secluded village hemmed by dramatic mountains and olive groves. Swim over pebbly, clear shallows, wander the peaceful lanes, and savor a sky crowded with stars from your anchorage. The feeling here is authentic and unhurried.

Day 5 - Wednesday: Kyparissi → Agioi Anargyroi (Spetses)
Return to Spetses and anchor off Agioi Anargyroi, a broad, golden-sand bay with caves to explore by dinghy or paddleboard. Laze through the afternoon in calm water, then dine in the cockpit to the sound of shoreline cicadas. Overnight at anchor.

Day 6 - Thursday: Agioi Anargyroi → Hydra → Russian Bay (Poros)
Make a morning approach to Hydra, one of Greece’s most distinctive islands where cars give way to donkeys and water taxis. Admire stone mansions, boutique galleries, and café terraces hugging the crescent harbor. By afternoon, continue to Russian Bay on Poros, a pine-fringed anchorage perfect for a swim and sunset dinner onboard.

Day 7 - Friday: Russian Bay → Aponisos (Agistri) → Alimos Marina
Slip the hook for the translucent, lagoon-like water of Aponisos on Agistri for a final swim and relaxed lunch. Turn north for the last reach back to Athens, arriving at Alimos by evening. Sleep onboard, ready for morning checkout.

Day 8 - Saturday: Disembarkation
Disembark at 09:00 following the technical inspection and fuel settlement.

About Your Bareboat Yacht

This Saronic itinerary is offered on comfortable cruising yachts configured for private, week-long living. Expect 3-5 cabins, generous storage, functional galley appliances, cockpit table and bimini, and an electric windlass to make bay-hopping simple. Helm and sail controls are laid out for shorthanded handling, typically with a furling genoa and either furling or slab-reefed mainsail. Core navigation aids include GPS chartplotter, autopilot, depth, wind, and speed instruments. A tender with outboard covers shore transfers to beaches like Aponisos and cave-lined coves at Agioi Anargyroi. Safety equipment meets Greek charter standards, and linen sets, cockpit cushions, and a swim ladder enhance comfort at anchor.

Families and first-time charterers love the Saronic because the legs are short, swell is usually modest, and most nights can be spent in harbors with easy shore access. If you want even more downtime, shorten any hop or add an extra swim stop between waypoints. It’s a flexible canvas for your ideal week at sea.

Why Book This Athens - Saronic Bareboat
