About Our Service in Maddalena Archipelago – Caprera, La Maddalena & Santo Stefano
Beginning at 09:00 from the chic Porto Cervo Marina, our route heads northeast, immediately entering the protected zone of the Maddalena Archipelago. A short sail takes us to Isola delle Bisce, a small, sandy-bottomed island ideal for a morning swim. The shallow turquoise waters here are perfect for snorkeling and stand-up paddleboarding.
Mid-morning brings us to the famed Cala Coticcio on Caprera Island, often referred to as “Tahiti Bay.” With towering granite cliffs, Mediterranean flora, and strikingly clear waters, it’s a postcard-perfect stop for swimming and sunbathing. Guests may also enjoy a short shoreline walk along the rocks for panoramic views.
By lunchtime, we reach La Maddalena’s main port at Cala Gavetta. Here, guests can step ashore to explore the pastel-hued streets of the old town, visit boutique shops, or enjoy a meal at one of the local seafood trattorias. Alternatively, stay onboard and savor a gourmet picnic with a view of the harbor.
In the early afternoon, we cruise toward Santo Stefano Island, anchoring on the east side where quiet coves and granite rock pools offer a tranquil setting for a swim or siesta. Fruit platters and drinks are served as you take in the peaceful landscape.
The return journey takes us along Caprera’s wild western coast, passing the sandy inlets of Cala Garibaldi and Porto Palma. Depending on time and sea conditions, the skipper may allow for an additional swim stop at one of these scenic bays before we set a course back to Porto Cervo.
