Historic French Waters, Northern Spain and the Western Mediterranean in One Elegant Charter

This 17-day itinerary offers an exceptionally balanced private cruise for guests who want to combine Atlantic heritage with Mediterranean progression. Departing from Brest Marina, the voyage begins with the assurance of one of France’s most respected maritime hubs, where advanced facilities, premium harbor services and efficient embarkation create a polished start. From there, the route explores Brittany and Normandy in detail before crossing to northern Spain, descending along Portugal and southern Iberia, then continuing east through the western Mediterranean toward Barcelona and Marseille. It is a route that feels cultured, expansive and highly intentional from beginning to end.

The experience is elevated by a fully crewed charter format centered on personalized service and seamless coordination. A team of 40 professionals supports every aspect of the journey, from operational precision and careful housekeeping to attentive dining service and highly responsive guest care. Because the itinerary covers a broad mix of historic ports, open-water legs and world-famous urban marinas, the role of the crew becomes even more important. Their expertise ensures that guests can simply enjoy the changing scenery, the comfort of the yacht and the atmosphere of each destination without needing to think about the logistics that make it all flow so well.

About Our Service in Brittany, Normandy, Galicia, Portugal and the Western Mediterranean

Day 1 - Brest to Lorient: The charter opens with a scenic run from Brest toward Lorient, following Brittany’s rugged Atlantic contours and establishing the maritime tone of the voyage immediately. The yacht’s spacious decks and elegant lounges offer the perfect setting for a first afternoon at sea, while Lorient’s modern marina provides a secure and refined overnight stop that feels both practical and polished.

Day 2 - Lorient to La Trinité-sur-Mer: A shorter leg to La Trinité-sur-Mer keeps the second day relaxed and allows guests to enjoy protected Breton waters at an easy pace. The destination is known for its yachting culture and excellent marina environment, making it an attractive and naturally sophisticated stop on the western French coast.

Day 3 - La Trinité-sur-Mer to Saint-Malo: The route then turns north, revealing more of Brittany’s dramatic coastline before reaching Saint-Malo. This arrival is among the itinerary’s most evocative, combining fortified harbor scenery, maritime legend and strong local atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the destination ashore or remain within the quiet luxury of the yacht, where a beautifully served evening continues the charter’s refined rhythm.

Day 4 - Saint-Malo, Dinard and Cancale: This day uses short passages to showcase neighboring coastal highlights without overloading the schedule. Dinard offers elegant resort character and polished marina appeal, while Cancale contributes a more intimate waterfront setting and regional charm. The flexibility of moving between these close destinations by private yacht is exactly what gives the experience its exclusive feel.

Day 5 - Saint-Malo to Granville: Cruising east along the Channel coastline toward Granville introduces Normandy through a mix of scenic navigation and understated sophistication. The harbor town is an appealing waypoint, combining maritime charm, comfortable access and a more relaxed pace after the stronger visual drama of Saint-Malo.

Day 6 - Granville to Barneville-Carteret: Normandy’s western shoreline now becomes quieter and more intimate. Barneville-Carteret, with possible positioning near Portbail depending on conditions, offers a calm harbor environment and pleasing coastal scenery. It is a day that favors tranquility, privacy and enjoyment of the yacht itself.

Day 7 - Barneville-Carteret to Cherbourg: Cherbourg serves as both an attractive destination and a logical staging point for the offshore movement to Spain. Its extensive maritime infrastructure, deep harbor and strong nautical identity fit naturally into a charter of this quality. Guests can enjoy the harbor atmosphere knowing the next phase of the voyage is being managed with precision behind the scenes.

Day 8 - Cherbourg to Vigo: The crossing to Vigo introduces the first major offshore challenge of the itinerary and underlines the benefit of choosing a substantial, ocean-capable heritage superyacht. Onboard life remains serene and luxurious throughout the passage, with open deck space, refined interiors and full crew attention ensuring that distance is covered in comfort. Vigo offers a sheltered and well-positioned arrival in Galicia, marking the yacht’s entry into Spain’s northern coast.

Day 9 - Vigo to Lisbon: Cruising south toward Lisbon, the charter follows the Atlantic edge of Iberia with a satisfying sense of onward movement. This leg is long enough to feel substantial, yet the onboard environment keeps the experience relaxed. Lisbon rewards the day with a capital-city waterfront setting and a blend of urban energy and marina sophistication.

Day 10 - Lisbon to Cádiz: The voyage continues along the Iberian Atlantic toward Cádiz, progressing gradually while preserving flexibility and comfort. Cádiz contributes southern Spanish character and a sense of historical depth, helping bridge the Atlantic stage of the itinerary with the important navigational transition still to come.

Day 11 - Cádiz to Gibraltar: A shorter coastal movement brings the yacht to Gibraltar, where the meeting of Atlantic and Mediterranean worlds becomes dramatically visible. This is a meaningful waypoint in the overall route and one that adds both strategic and scenic significance to the charter.

Day 12 - Gibraltar to Alicante: With the Mediterranean now open ahead, the yacht continues northeast toward Alicante. This is a longer leg, but one made highly comfortable by the vessel’s scale, stabilization and guest amenities. The journey becomes part of the pleasure, with time to enjoy the pool deck, gym, beauty parlour or simply long hours of uninterrupted privacy on deck.

Day 13 - Alicante to Barcelona: Barcelona adds one of the western Mediterranean’s great yachting destinations to the itinerary. The city’s modern marina facilities, vibrant waterfront and cosmopolitan reputation create a striking contrast with the historic Atlantic ports visited earlier, giving the charter another fresh dimension.

Day 14 - Barcelona to Marseille: Crossing the Gulf of Lion toward Marseille feels expansive and rewarding, linking Spain and France once again through a polished offshore passage. Marseille offers historic depth, large-port energy and easy access to the cultural richness of the French Mediterranean coast.

Day 15 - Marseille Coastal Leisure: This buffer day allows the itinerary to slow down. Guests may remain near Marseille for local cruising, lunch on deck and relaxed use of the yacht’s many social and wellness spaces. It is an ideal point in the journey to fully appreciate the onboard environment after the longer transits that shaped the middle days.

Day 16 - Marseille Riviera Cruising: The penultimate day is dedicated to relaxed French Mediterranean cruising, keeping the experience refined and visually rewarding while avoiding unnecessary urgency. The emphasis returns to comfort, privacy and time well spent aboard an iconic yacht.

Day 17 - Mediterranean Completion: The final morning closes a sophisticated route that has linked Brittany, Normandy, Galicia, Portugal, southern Spain and the western Mediterranean in one cohesive charter. It is a satisfying conclusion to a journey rich in maritime identity, scenic variety and world-class onboard living.

About Our Yacht - 99m Canadian-Built Heritage Superyacht for 34 Guests

The vessel behind this charter is one of its greatest distinctions. Originally built in 1943 and comprehensively refitted in 2022, this Canadian-built 99-meter heritage yacht captures the grandeur of another era while delivering the comfort expected of elite private charters today. Interiors reflect restored elegance, cinematic glamour and beautifully considered detailing, giving the yacht a presence that feels authentic rather than manufactured. It is an ideal match for an itinerary that values historical ports, long-range cruising and elevated hospitality.

Accommodation is available for up to 34 guests in 17 refined cabins, with flexible double and convertible layouts that make the yacht suitable for larger families, multi-generational groups or private events requiring thoughtful room configuration. The master suite is especially notable for its artistic heritage and opulent styling, while the public spaces throughout the yacht support everything from formal dinners to quiet reading, intimate conversation and large social gatherings.

Outdoor life onboard is equally compelling. A mosaic pool deck with Jacuzzi enhancement serves as a glamorous focal point during warmer coastal stages, while panoramic lounging decks and alfresco dining settings transform cruising hours into some of the trip’s most memorable moments. The beauty parlour, fully equipped gym and library atmosphere add depth to the guest experience, ensuring the yacht feels like a complete private retreat rather than just a means of travel. With a professional crew of 40 handling every detail discreetly, guests are free to enjoy the route in total comfort.

For Travelers Who Want the Atlantic Spirit and Mediterranean Style

This itinerary stands out because it does not limit itself to one coastline or one kind of experience. It begins in the maritime prestige of Brest, explores the heritage-rich coasts of Brittany and Normandy, crosses to northern Spain and Portugal, reaches Gibraltar and then opens into the warmer, more glamorous waters of the western Mediterranean. That progression gives the charter a narrative and a sense of accomplishment that shorter regional itineraries cannot match. Combined with an iconic 99-meter heritage yacht, 17-cabin guest capacity, tailored onboard service and the support of 40 crew members, it becomes a rare private journey for guests who expect substance, elegance and flawless execution in equal measure. Availability is naturally selective, and securing dates early is the best way to access this level of luxury on such a wide-ranging European route.
