Tanım

Explore five Central American countries during a 19-day fully crewed luxury yacht charter from Puerto San José to Costa Rica’s central Pacific coast. The southbound route travels through Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua before devoting its final section to the Gulf of Papagayo, Guanacaste, the Nicoya Peninsula and the Gulf of Nicoya. Volcanic islands, mangrove-lined bays, coastal communities and protected gulf waters give every stage a distinct identity.

The programme combines purposeful international passages with well-placed exploration days, allowing guests to appreciate the region without maintaining an exhausting pace. Weather, Pacific swell, clearance requirements and safe anchorage availability will influence the final schedule. The captain may therefore amend stopping points or timing while retaining the principal route and overall character of the charter.

About Our 19-Day Central America Pacific Service

This exclusive charter is operated by 27 crew members dedicated to navigation, safety, technical operations, accommodation, dining and personal service. Guest preferences can be incorporated into menus, onboard schedules, activities and shoreside experiences wherever conditions allow. Experienced support is available throughout the booking process to coordinate special requirements and practical arrangements.

Day 1 - Puerto San José, Guatemala: Leave Puerto San José and begin the expedition at a comfortable pace. Guests can become familiar with the yacht’s amenities while the crew establishes the navigational rhythm for the southbound route.

Day 2 - Guatemala Pacific Coast: Continue past beaches, fishing villages and volcanic landscapes. Stop in suitable coastal waters for swimming or relaxation before positioning closer to El Salvador.

Day 3 - Acajutla, El Salvador: Complete international entry procedures near Acajutla and explore the western Salvadoran coast. The port provides a practical introduction to the country while maintaining manageable progress toward the Gulf of Fonseca.

Day 4 - Bahía de Jiquilisco, El Salvador: Enter one of El Salvador’s more sheltered coastal environments. Mangrove channels, islands and calmer waters may be explored by tender where local rules and conditions permit.

Day 5 - El Salvador Pacific Coast: Continue east using an appropriate coastal area as an intermediate stop. This additional day avoids an excessive direct passage and creates flexibility for weather and border requirements.

Day 6 - Gulf of Fonseca, Honduras: Cross into Honduran waters around Isla del Tigre. Cruise carefully through the protected gulf while observing international boundaries and navigational requirements.

Day 7 - Amapala, Honduras: Dedicate the day to Amapala and its volcanic island surroundings. Swimming, tender excursions and sheltered-water cruising create meaningful time in Honduras before departure for Nicaragua.

Day 8 - Corinto, Nicaragua: Follow the Pacific coast toward Corinto on a dedicated international sailing day. Allow time for customs procedures and a comfortable arrival before continuing south.

Day 9 - Corinto and León Coast: Explore Nicaragua’s northwestern beaches and volcanic scenery. The measured local programme provides recovery time after the border crossing and supports any provisioning needs.

Day 10 - Cosigüina and Gulf of Fonseca Approach: Discover the coastal landscapes around Cosigüina before turning south. Maintain safe offshore distances while enjoying views toward the volcanic terrain of northwestern Nicaragua.

Day 11 - Masachapa, Nicaragua: Continue along the coast and use a suitable anchorage near Masachapa to divide the journey. Relaxation and swimming may be incorporated without compromising steady southbound progress.

Day 12 - San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua: Enter the broad bay at San Juan del Sur and explore nearby beaches or coastal viewpoints. Its comparatively sheltered setting provides a welcome overnight pause before reaching Costa Rica.

Day 13 - Southern Nicaragua and Border Waters: Travel toward the maritime boundary, using an appropriate position if international arrival cannot be completed comfortably within daylight. The programme prioritizes safe navigation over forced mileage.

Day 14 - Gulf of Papagayo, Costa Rica: Complete clearance and begin exploring Costa Rica’s northwestern cruising grounds. Sheltered bays, beaches and impressive coastal scenery introduce the final country on the itinerary.

Day 15 - Santa Rosa National Park Coast: Cruise along Guanacaste near the Santa Rosa National Park region. Secluded beaches and natural surroundings create a scenic transition toward the Nicoya Peninsula, subject to appropriate anchoring and access.

Day 16 - Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica: Continue around the extensive peninsula and select a bay suited to prevailing weather. Swim, explore by tender or relax aboard while the crew prepares for entry into the gulf.

Day 17 - Gulf of Nicoya, Costa Rica: Cruise among islands and protected coastal waters within the gulf. Calmer conditions may allow an unhurried day of swimming and exploration after several open-Pacific stages.

Day 18 - Puntarenas and Central Pacific Costa Rica: Progress through the Gulf of Nicoya toward Puntarenas and the central coast. Spend time locally while the crew reviews conditions and positions the yacht for the conclusion.

Day 19 - Central Pacific Costa Rica and Voyage Conclusion: Enjoy a final morning aboard before completing the charter along Costa Rica’s central Pacific shore. Local disembarkation and onward travel arrangements can be coordinated during planning. The one-way conclusion protects the realistic pace of the itinerary by avoiding a rushed return to Guatemala.
