7-Night Skippered 30m Gulet Charter from Bodrum through the Gulf of Hisarönü, Turkey

For guests who want a Turkish charter that brings together history, elegant coastal scenery, relaxed village life, and sheltered swimming bays, this 7-night route through the Gulf of Hisarönü offers a particularly rewarding balance. Starting in Bodrum, one of Turkey’s best-known yachting centers, the journey unfolds through a sequence of celebrated stops that feel distinct from one another yet connected by the same easy Mediterranean rhythm. From ancient ruins to pine-framed bays and quiet waterfront villages, the experience combines natural beauty with cultural depth in a way that feels polished, private, and highly enjoyable.

This itinerary is especially appealing for travelers who want a weekly skippered charter with variety. The sailing legs are generally comfortable, giving guests time to enjoy the journey rather than simply move through it. Some days invite slow exploration ashore, while others are devoted to anchoring in peaceful coves and making full use of the yacht itself. Throughout the week, the experienced crew ensures that everything runs smoothly, from navigation and onboard hospitality to day-to-day comfort and meal service. Guests can settle into the pleasure of being looked after while still enjoying the freedom that makes private yacht travel so special.

About Our Service in Bodrum and the Gulf of Hisarönü

This fully organized weekly gulet charter is structured to feel both effortless and immersive. The crew manages the yacht and all core onboard operations, allowing guests to focus on the pleasures of the coast - swimming in clean turquoise water, dining in charming harbors, discovering historical sites, or enjoying a relaxed afternoon on deck with uninterrupted sea views. Because the route passes through such a varied cruising ground, the itinerary naturally alternates between cultural discovery and quiet natural anchorages. Guests may also enjoy onboard activities such as canoeing, wakeboarding, water skiing, stand-up paddleboarding, and ringo depending on conditions and preference, adding an active element to a journey that already offers plenty of visual interest.

Day 1 - Embarkation in Bodrum

Guests board the yacht in Bodrum at 17:30. The first evening offers a gentle introduction to the week ahead, with time to settle into the cabins, meet the crew, and take in the marina’s lively surroundings. Bodrum’s waterfront atmosphere, historic character, and elegant yachting scene make it a fitting start for a premium blue cruise. Dinner and overnight stay are in the harbor.

Day 2 - Knidos

After breakfast, the gulet heads toward Knidos on a scenic sail of around 4 hours. Located at the edge of the Datça Peninsula, Knidos is one of the most compelling archaeological stops in the region. Guests can explore the ancient ruins, visit the amphitheater, and take in wide coastal views that are particularly striking toward sunset. The combination of open seascapes, history, and a serene anchorage gives this day a strong sense of arrival into the wider Aegean world.

Day 3 - Datça

A shorter passage of about 2 hours brings the yacht to Datça, a harbor town with an inviting mix of everyday Turkish life and tasteful visitor appeal. Guests can wander the old town, browse for local products, stop for coffee, or enjoy a leisurely lunch by the water. Datça feels different from the large resort centers, offering a gentler pace and a more personal character. An overnight harbor stay gives everyone time to enjoy the town after the daytime visitors have gone.

Day 4 - Aktur

The route continues to Aktur, reached after approximately 2 to 3 hours of sailing. This area is known for pristine bays, turquoise water, and a setting backed by pine forest. It is a classic day for sea-based relaxation - swimming directly from the yacht, snorkeling in clear conditions, paddling along the shore, or simply claiming a comfortable place on deck and taking in the quiet. The anchorage is peaceful and well suited to guests who value nature and privacy.

Day 5 - Bencik Bay

A short sail of roughly 2 hours leads into Bencik Bay, a narrow and scenic inlet in a dramatic landscape. The geography here gives the day a different visual feel, with enclosed waters and striking surroundings that make it excellent for photography as well as swimming. The calm setting also suits paddleboarding, canoeing, and quiet time ashore. It is the kind of anchorage that reminds guests why gulet charters remain one of the best ways to experience this coastline.

Day 6 - Orhaniye and Kızkumu Beach

After around 2 hours cruising, the yacht reaches Orhaniye, home to the famous Kızkumu Beach. This unusual natural formation creates a shallow sandbank effect that allows visitors to walk seemingly across the sea, making it one of the most memorable visual experiences on the route. Guests can swim, stroll across the sand path, and enjoy the local waterfront atmosphere before returning to the comfort of the yacht.

Day 7 - Selimiye

A relaxed 1 to 2 hour sail brings the charter to Selimiye, a fishing village prized for its understated charm. Rather than a busy resort feel, Selimiye offers a tranquil bay, small-scale waterfront life, and a setting that encourages guests to slow down. Fresh seafood, a quiet walk through the village, and a final swim create an ideal closing mood before the return toward Bodrum.

Day 8 - Return to Bodrum and Disembarkation

The yacht returns to Bodrum, typically with an early departure or overnight positioning depending on conditions, and guests disembark after breakfast at 08:30. The week ends having delivered a route rich in contrasts - archaeological heritage, harbor-town character, forested bays, and one of the most unusual beaches in the region.

About Our 30m Gulet

The yacht itself plays a major role in the quality of the week. At 30 meters in length with a 7-meter beam, this gulet provides the spaciousness guests expect from a comfortable weekly charter while preserving the warm, classic appeal of Turkish wooden yacht design. Built in 2016, she accommodates up to 12 guests in 6 cabins, making her ideal for extended families, couples traveling together, or groups of friends who want a private but social environment at sea.

Onboard comfort is supported by 4 professional crew members and air-conditioning available 24 hours a day. Interior spaces include a welcoming salon and dining area with traditional gulet styling, while the outdoor layout offers multiple lounge and sunbathing areas that keep the yacht feeling open and versatile throughout the day. Guests looking for extra activity between anchorages can also enjoy 2 canoes, a stand-up paddleboard, ringo, wakeboard, and water ski equipment, all of which help turn quiet bays into part of the adventure rather than simply places to stop.

Why This Route Leaves a Lasting Impression

The Gulf of Hisarönü appeals to guests who want their yacht holiday to feel both restorative and richly layered. This itinerary moves naturally from the grandeur of Knidos to the welcoming atmosphere of Datça, from pristine bays such as Aktur and Bencik to the novelty of Kızkumu and the calm elegance of Selimiye. Combined with the attentive service of a professional crew and the comfort of a 30-meter gulet built for relaxed weekly cruising, the result is a charter that offers more than scenery alone. It delivers a week of genuine variety, effortless comfort, and the kind of private travel experience that guests remember long after they return ashore.
