Descrição do produto

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take command of your own chartered yacht with a group, your family or friends in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean, Mediterranean, or Hawaii? If so, then the IYT International Bareboat Skipper qualification is the one for you. This qualification will allow you to safely and comfortably take command of a recreational vessel < 24m (power or sail), in daylight hours, in sight of land and in fair weather. This qualification is the legal equivalent of the RYA day skipper and can be transferred to an ICC certificate if you prefer. Some European yacht charter operators may require an International Certificate of Competency (ICC) for chartering and it is therefore a good idea to add this to your licences. The IYT is generally required for the inland and coastal waters of the Eastern Mediterranean countries, whilst the ICC is recommended for Northern Europe, France and Spain. A IYT certification is also MCA approved. If you have any problems drop us an email and we will assist you to transfer one certification for the other.

We have many different routes to choose from and of course they are always subject to the weather conditions and external factors. The sailing routes can be changed upon the Skipper's discretion.

There is free time daily until 10:00 for trainees, and until  12:00 for non-trainees. The skipper will usually organise a trek to a historical ruin or a hike in nature every morning at 8:00 before breakfast. You can choose to join or not. In our region, the wind usually picks up at around 12:00 PM, so we depart for our next location at around noon.

We arrive at our next destination in the late afternoon or early evening. You can enjoy the sun, sea and nature, or walk around to explore in your free time. You must be back at the yacht as per the skippers instructions so the yacht's departure is not delayed by you.

On most evenings we enjoy dinner together either on the boat or in a restaurant where we can enjoy long conversations. After dinner people might choose to do some other activities together like playing games, more conversation, going out, an evening walk in peace and nature. This is totally up to you and you can choose to simply return to the boat.

Ballisu is a very deep bay with a narrow mouth. Bay twists into the land. Sea gets very shallow and blurry to the end of the bay. A creek flows into the bay. Around the bay had a very thick red pine forest, 10 years ago a fire destroyed them. Now it is re-afforested.

YEDI ADALAR

Four islands in front of the southern shores of Gokova covered with pine forests create a wide gulf of 2 miles wide between them and the shore. Maps call this bay as Gökçeler. The story of why they say Balıkaşıran is as follows: This place where Gulf of Hisaronu and Gokova is the closest to each other. Bencik and Balıkaşıran bays are back to back to each other. So they say flying fish in Gökova jumps to Hisarönü. So here it was known as Balıkaşıran (Fish passer). This point where the Aegean Sea gets closer with the Mediterranean just like to touch each other. This place is accepted as the beginning point of Datca peninsula. The right side is the Mediterranean Sea and the left side of the Aegean. Aegean fish jumps to Mediterranean fish jumps to Aegean Sea.
OKLUK

Sadun Boro who is the master sailor and has a cult status for the Turkish sailors says Gökova is the paradise of the world, and the best bay and pearl of Gokova is Okluk bay. He spends all winter from November until April in Okluk with his legendary boat Kısmet. Okluk is between Karacasogut and Ayın bays. The big cove is actually called Degirmendere. When enter inside the Degirmendere cove, you will see another cove called British harbor. In that cove British ships were staying in World War 1. They used to bomb German ships at nights and they run back here at first day lights.
