About Our Service in Ushuaia, the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and Antarctica

Day 1 - Ushuaia Departure
The voyage begins with embarkation in Ushuaia, where guests are welcomed aboard, introduced to the crew and briefed on the journey ahead. Once underway through the Beagle Channel, the expedition immediately takes on a grand sense of purpose as Patagonia fades into the distance.

Day 2 - Southern Ocean Transit
Heading northeast into the South Atlantic, guests settle into life on board while enjoying lectures on sub-Antarctic ecosystems and spotting seabirds above the open water. The vessel’s refined interior and attentive service make even the transit days feel purposeful and rewarding.

Day 3 - Falkland Islands Arrival
The first land-based exploration begins in the Falkland Islands, where rolling landscapes and abundant coastal wildlife create a very different mood from Antarctica’s ice. Zodiac landings reveal penguin colonies, seals and remote shorelines, while the islands’ isolated culture adds further interest to the experience.

Day 4 - Falkland Wildlife Exploration
A second day in the Falklands allows guests to explore additional beaches and settlements, often with opportunities to observe several penguin species including king, gentoo and rockhopper penguins. Marine mammals and birdlife thrive here, making this a highly accessible and photogenic introduction to the Southern Ocean ecosystem.

Day 5 - Sail Toward South Georgia
The yacht departs the Falklands and turns east toward South Georgia, giving guests time to enjoy onboard amenities, wildlife observation and expedition briefings. The sense of moving progressively deeper into remote southern waters becomes increasingly tangible.

Day 6 - Southern Ocean Crossing
As the ocean passage continues, whales and seabirds may appear around the vessel, and the expedition team prepares guests for the more rugged environment ahead. South Georgia’s reputation for glaciers, mountains and dense wildlife populations builds strong anticipation.

Day 7 - South Georgia Arrival
The coastline of South Georgia makes an unforgettable entrance, with steep mountains, glacial valleys and remote beaches creating a scene of powerful natural drama. Wildlife activity is constant, with whales offshore and seals gathering along the shorelines.

Day 8 - Grytviken and Exploration History
Ashore at Grytviken, guests can discover one of the Southern Ocean’s most historically resonant sites. The former whaling station, museum and Shackleton connection offer insight into the human stories that shaped this remote region long before it became a modern expedition highlight.

Day 9 - St. Andrews Bay Wildlife
St. Andrews Bay is one of the great wildlife spectacles of the voyage, home to vast king penguin colonies and elephant seals spread across the beach. The sheer concentration of life here creates one of the expedition’s most unforgettable moments.

Day 10 - Gold Harbour and Coastal Scenery
Gold Harbour adds further visual drama, bringing together glaciers, wildlife and steep mountain scenery in one extraordinary location. Guests can observe penguins, seals and seabirds in a setting that feels both pristine and intensely alive.

Day 11 - Sail Toward Antarctica
Leaving South Georgia behind, the yacht heads southwest toward Antarctica. The day at sea allows for relaxation, lectures and observation as the environment transitions into colder, more ice-influenced conditions.

Day 12 - Antarctic Convergence Crossing
Crossing into true Antarctic waters marks a major turning point in the journey. Changes in wildlife, temperature and sea conditions reinforce the feeling of entering an entirely different natural world.

Day 13 - South Shetland Islands Exploration
The first Antarctic landings take place among the South Shetland Islands, where penguin colonies, remote beaches and dramatic volcanic scenery announce the start of the final polar stage. Zodiac excursions allow guests to experience these raw environments at close range.

Day 14 - Antarctic Peninsula Cruising
The Antarctic Peninsula brings glacier-lined channels, iceberg-filled waters and repeated opportunities to observe whales, seals and seabirds. Each landing or cruise reveals a slightly different expression of Antarctica’s breathtaking scale and stillness.

Day 15 - Return via the Drake Passage
The expedition begins its homeward run with time to relax, enjoy lectures and reflect on the extraordinary range of places visited. Fine dining and attentive service maintain the journey’s premium feel all the way to the final evening on board.

Day 16 - Arrival in Ushuaia
Guests return to Ushuaia after breakfast, completing a comprehensive southern expedition that successfully combines island wildlife, historical interest and Antarctic ice exploration into one outstanding charter experience.

About Our Expedition Yacht

A route of this range requires a vessel with true expedition credibility, and this 68-meter yacht delivers exactly that. Its ice-class construction, robust operational capability and proven long-range design make it suitable for the changing environments of the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica, while its heritage appearance and warm interior character create a far more distinctive guest experience than that of a standard expedition platform.

On board, guests are supported by beautifully arranged lounges, welcoming dining spaces and panoramic viewpoints that keep the journey visually engaging even during longer sea passages. The observation tower provides an especially strong advantage for birdlife, whale spotting and scenic viewing, while helipad capability and specialist facilities emphasize the yacht’s premium expedition credentials.

The accommodation layout is designed for up to twelve guests, with spacious cabins finished in elegant wood tones and a retro-inspired style that feels comfortable, private and full of character. A ten-member crew ensures that every detail is handled with professionalism, allowing the onboard atmosphere to remain personal, calm and consistently refined throughout a demanding multi-region voyage.

A Wider Southern Ocean Experience with Real Depth

This charter is an exceptional fit for guests who want more than a single-destination Antarctic trip. The inclusion of the Falkland Islands and South Georgia brings richer wildlife variety, deeper historical context and a broader understanding of the Southern Ocean before the route culminates in the icy grandeur of Antarctica itself. Combined with Ushuaia’s strong departure logistics and the yacht’s distinctive standard of comfort, this is a premium expedition itinerary designed to leave a lasting impression on even well-traveled guests.
