14-Day Crewed Atlantic Yacht Charter from Brest to Portugal via France and Spain

This 14-day luxury yacht charter from Brest to Porto is crafted for guests who want a broader Atlantic experience with real distance, multiple cruising styles, and a route that feels increasingly expansive with each passing day. Beginning in Brest Marina gives the charter a strong operational and aesthetic foundation. As one of the western coast of France’s premier embarkation hubs, Brest combines contemporary marina infrastructure, secure berthing, deep-water access, and efficient service logistics, making departure both elegant and straightforward. Once onboard, guests are cared for by a 13-member professional crew whose role is to transform a complex multi-country itinerary into a smooth and highly personalized experience defined by attentive service, refined hospitality, and confident planning.

The voyage itself unfolds in layers. It begins with the maritime culture and scenic variety of Brittany and Normandy, then re-centers in Brest before moving decisively south along the French Atlantic seaboard and finally into Spain and Portugal. This route is attractive because it offers both breadth and contrast. Guests enjoy historic ports, refined dining towns, major sailing hubs, river-estuary navigation, longer offshore passages, and the satisfaction of ending in one of Portugal’s most atmospheric coastal cities. Throughout, the yacht provides a calm and luxurious base from which the Atlantic can be appreciated in comfort rather than haste.

About Our Service from Brittany to Portugal

Day 1 - Brest to Camaret-sur-Mer: The charter opens with a short scenic leg that allows the atmosphere onboard to settle naturally. Camaret-sur-Mer provides a quiet and attractive harbor environment where guests can begin the trip in comfort, enjoy the crew’s welcoming service, and take in the rugged Breton coastline before the itinerary builds in scope.

Day 2 - Camaret-sur-Mer to Roscoff: The second day continues north along Brittany’s coast, with Roscoff offering both a manageable distance and a port rich in maritime character. The cruising is comfortable, scenic, and appropriately paced for the early stage of the itinerary, while Roscoff adds a heritage feel that complements the premium nature of the yacht.

Day 3 - Roscoff to Saint-Malo: The cruise to Saint-Malo introduces longer-distance movement and more involved tidal planning. The reward is arrival in one of France’s most iconic maritime destinations, where the walled city, lively waterfront, and well-appointed marina create an evening stop that feels cultured, historic, and distinctly Atlantic.

Day 4 - Saint-Malo to Dinard to Cancale: This lighter day offers short hops and generous leisure time. Dinard’s refined seaside setting and Cancale’s gastronomic reputation create a polished combination of coastal scenery and culinary appeal. The reduced cruising distances leave ample opportunity for guests to enjoy the shore experience without disrupting the itinerary’s overall momentum.

Day 5 - Cancale to Granville: Moving into Normandy, the yacht follows a practical coastal route to Granville. The passage offers rewarding views and a satisfying sense of onward progression, while the destination provides good marina infrastructure and a pleasant harbor atmosphere suited to a luxury overnight stop.

Day 6 - Granville to Barneville-Carteret to Cherbourg: This is a more operationally substantial day, but one that remains fully practical with sound planning. The coastline shifts in tone as the yacht reaches Cherbourg, a major port whose facilities, provisioning options, and maritime significance make it an important point within the route. It is also an ideal place from which to prepare for the charter’s second half.

Day 7 - Cherbourg to Offshore to Brest: Returning south toward Brest on an offshore leg creates a striking pivot in the itinerary. Rather than ending in the north, the charter regathers itself in familiar Breton waters before launching into the extended southbound Atlantic section. This day adds structure, navigational interest, and a useful sense of transition between the northern and southern halves of the voyage.

Day 8 - Brest to Lorient: Once underway again from Brest, the yacht follows Brittany’s southern coastline to Lorient. This is a rewarding leg because Lorient is strongly associated with modern sailing culture and yachting infrastructure. Guests experience dynamic scenery and arrive in a destination that feels contemporary, capable, and deeply connected to life at sea.

Day 9 - Lorient to Vannes or La Trinité-sur-Mer: The itinerary eases into the Gulf of Morbihan region, where cruising becomes more sheltered and visually gentle. Whether the call is Vannes or La Trinité-sur-Mer, the day offers a sense of relaxation supported by quality marina facilities and scenery that feels calmer and more intimate than the exposed Atlantic stretches.

Day 10 - Morbihan to Les Sables-d’Olonne: Heading farther south, the charter returns to a stronger sea-going rhythm. Les Sables-d’Olonne is a serious sailing port with a dynamic waterfront and strong infrastructure, making it both practical and engaging. The balance of purposeful cruising and lively destination energy works particularly well here.

Day 11 - Les Sables-d’Olonne to La Rochelle: La Rochelle delivers one of the most elegant marina experiences on the French Atlantic coast. The route is straightforward, while the destination offers historic harbor surroundings, strong dining, and one of the finest yachting atmospheres in the region. It is a natural highlight of the charter’s southbound progression.

Day 12 - La Rochelle to Bordeaux: The shift into the Gironde estuary creates one of the voyage’s most distinctive days. River-estuary navigation replaces the open Atlantic for a time, giving guests a calmer and more culturally layered experience. Bordeaux’s inland port character adds sophistication and variety, reinforcing the sense that this is a thoughtfully composed itinerary rather than a conventional coastline run.

Day 13 - Bordeaux to Bilbao: Departing France and reaching Spain adds both distance and prestige to the charter. The offshore leg to Bilbao is realistic with favorable weather and transforms the route into a genuinely multi-country Atlantic experience. Bilbao offers culture, gastronomy, and a vibrant urban port atmosphere that contrasts nicely with the quieter destinations earlier in the itinerary.

Day 14 - Bilbao to Porto: The final offshore passage to Porto completes the voyage in memorable fashion. Porto’s historic waterfront identity, Atlantic presence, and strong sense of place make it an excellent closing destination. The arrival carries a clear feeling of accomplishment and gives the charter a final note of continental depth and distinction.
