Description

14-Day Bareboat Grand Tour – Capo d’Orlando to Taormina Coast via the Aeolian Islands aboard Beneteau Oceanis 51.1

Begin at Capo d’Orlando, a state-of-the-art marina that puts you within an easy first hop of Vulcano. This extended loop sweeps through the Aeolians—Alicudi, Filicudi, Salina, Stromboli, Panarea, and Lipari—before striking east to Giardini Naxos and Taormina, then circling back via Milazzo. It’s a route that pairs volcanic drama with the refined cultural tapestry of Sicily’s famed hilltop town.

Fully flexible by design. As a private bareboat charter, you decide the pace. Follow our plan or rework it to match your crew’s wish list. Add a skipper, hostess, or cook if you want extra ease. We can coordinate transfers, provisioning at select bases, early boarding, and an outboard. With logistics smoothed, you’ll spend your energy on sailing, swims, and shore-time memories.

About Our Service in Capo d’Orlando, the Aeolians & Taormina

Expect a satisfying cadence of short inter-island passages, longer bluewater pushes along Sicily’s coast, and signature stops that show off the region’s diversity—from crater rims to Greek theatres and medieval castles. The eastbound leg opens a different face of Sicily, framed by Mount Etna and elegant streets perched above the sea.

Day 1 - Capo d’Orlando embarkation (from 17:00): Check-in and marina evening at leisure.

Day 2 - Capo d’Orlando to Vulcano (19 NM): Crater views, warm mud baths, and black sands to kick off the voyage.

Day 3 - Vulcano to Alicudi (29 NM): Sail west to the archipelago’s quiet fringe where cars give way to donkeys and time slows down.

Day 4 - Alicudi to Filicudi (13 NM) then on to Salina (15 NM): Sea caves, Capo Graziano’s ruins, and a mellow evening amid Salina’s vine-clad slopes.

Day 5 - Salina day: Taste Malvasia, swim Pollara, or climb Fossa delle Felci before a sunset mooring.

Day 6 - Salina to Stromboli (24 NM): Aim for dusk at Sciara del Fuoco to watch orange ribbons of fire trace the volcano’s flank.

Day 7 - Stromboli to Panarea (13 NM): Crystal coves, chic lanes, and anchoring in picture-perfect Cala Junco.

Day 8 - Panarea to Lipari (12 NM): Museum stops, cliff drives, and a lively waterfront scene round out the Aeolian circuit.

Day 9 - Lipari day: Beach-hop to Spiaggia Bianca or take a land tour to panoramic lookouts.

Day 10 - Lipari to Giardini Naxos (68 NM): A rewarding coastal run to Sicily’s east, with Etna looming and the bay unfolding.

Day 11 - Taormina visit: Ride up to the Greek Theatre, wander Corso Umberto, and linger in cafés with impossible views.

Day 12 - Giardini Naxos to Milazzo (54 NM): Sail back along the coast to a historic port crowned by a formidable castle.

Day 13 - Milazzo lay day: Explore the citadel or relax at waterfront bars before tomorrow’s homeward leg.

Day 14 - Milazzo to Capo d’Orlando (28 NM): Arrive by 18:00 for check-out preparations and a celebratory final dinner.

Day 15 - Disembarkation (09:00): Breakfast and farewells at the marina.
