Description

14-Day Bareboat Expedition – Palermo to the Aeolian Islands & Back aboard Beneteau Oceanis 51.1

Begin in Palermo, where grand boulevards, Arab-Norman treasures, and open-air markets set a spirited tone for a longer-range adventure. From a capable, centrally located marina, you’ll chart a two-week voyage weaving across Sicily’s north coast into the Aeolian chain, with time to linger in quiet bays, hike active volcanoes, and discover villages where the pace mirrors the tides.

Your charter, your way. This is a private bareboat experience with the option to follow our suggested plan or redesign it to match your style. Add an expert skipper or hostess, request transfers, provisioning at select bases, early boarding, or an outboard. We keep every step clear and efficient so your energy is saved for open water.

About Our Service in Palermo, the Aeolians & Cefalù

This extended itinerary is designed for sailors who want depth—slow mornings in sheltered anchorages, unhurried museum visits, sunset hikes, and second helpings of seaside dinners. Expect a satisfying rhythm of bluewater stretches and short inter-island hops.

Day 1 - Palermo arrival (from 17:00): Check-in, briefing, and an evening exploring the capital. Overnight onboard.

Day 2 - Palermo to Cefalù (32 NM): Glide toward a honey-stone old town and its UNESCO-listed cathedral. Swim, stroll, sip, repeat.

Day 3 - Cefalù to Vulcano (50 NM): Reach the archipelago and reward the passage with a crater hike, black sands, and restorative mud baths.

Day 4 - Vulcano to Panarea (15 NM): Drop the hook at Cala Junco, explore boutiques, and dine al fresco as the anchorage turns gold.

Day 5 - Panarea exploration: Snorkel in clear shallows, visit prehistoric sites, or laze at a beach club—your tempo, your call.

Day 6 - Panarea to Stromboli (13 NM): Nighttime circles of Sciara del Fuoco deliver fiery theatrics you’ll never forget.

Day 7 - Stromboli to Lipari (25 NM): Marina Lunga’s bustle, cliff drives, and a standout archaeological museum shape the day.

Day 8 - Lipari to Salina (9 NM): Moor in Santa Marina or Rinella, then taste Malvasia and watch the sun melt into the Tyrrhenian.

Day 9 - Salina day: Hike Fossa delle Felci, swim Pollara’s cinematic bay, and wander Malfa’s lanes.

Day 10 - Salina to Filicudi (15 NM): Paddle into Grotta del Bue Marino and snorkel beneath the monolith of La Canna.

Day 11 - Filicudi to Alicudi (13 NM): Stone stairways, donkey paths, and silence—Alicudi is the Aeolians at their most elemental.

Day 12 - Alicudi to Cefalù (34 NM): Return to Sicily for cathedral spires, trattoria dinners, and sandy beaches.

Day 13 - Cefalù town day: Climb La Rocca for panorama, shop for ceramics, and savor granita in medieval squares.

Day 14 - Cefalù to Palermo (32 NM): Arrive by 18:00 for a final city-night flourish.

Day 15 - Disembarkation (09:00): Breakfast, checkout, and farewells to your Oceanis and crew, if any.
