Description

Hurghada Offshore Diving Safari – Big Brother & Little Brother aboard LA DATCHA

Few destinations stir the imagination of divers like the Brothers—two volcanic pinnacles rising from deep blue roughly 60 miles offshore. Reaching them demands both range and seamanship, qualities embodied by LA DATCHA. Departing Hurghada Marina, this seven-day expedition fuses the exhilaration of blue-water encounters with the indulgence of a luxury retreat. Expect hammerheads at depth, swirling barracuda shoals, pristine walls veiled in soft coral and service choreography that makes challenging dives feel effortless.

About Our Service in Big Brother, Little Brother, Abu Nuhas & Mainland Reefs

Day 1: Board in Hurghada Marina by afternoon. After customs clearance, the yacht heads east on an overnight run. Crew maintain bridge watch rotations while guests dine on the upper deck, then settle into stabilizer-softened cabins for rest. By dawn, Big Brother’s lighthouse silhouette greets you from the horizon.

Day 2: The first dive reveals immense vertical walls draped in orange and red soft corals. Pelagic sightings often include grey reef and hammerhead sharks. Between dives, the crew provide refreshments, log data and manage cylinder fills. Surface intervals are quiet luxury—espresso, chilled fruit, panoramic views. Evening snorkeling along the mooring line unveils nocturnal species under red-filtered lamps.

Day 3: A short repositioning to Little Brother introduces faster currents and thrilling drifts. Dive leaders brief detailed routes; safety zodiacs shadow bubbles while guests glide over deep blue voids fringed by fan corals. Macro enthusiasts explore sheltered shelves alive with nudibranchs. After dives, guests attend a marine-biology talk in the salon while footage from ROV cameras plays on screen. The night ends with open-air dining under a billion stars.

Day 4: Morning snorkeling followed by a long return leg toward Shaab Abu Nuhas for shallower dives and decompression recovery. Families join the tender for coral-top photography; crew prepare a themed seafood dinner celebrating the week’s marine encounters.

Day 5: Guided reef dives en route south; lunch picnic served on the main deck overlooking turquoise shallows. Afternoon features paddleboarding and swimming while compressors hum quietly in the background. An optional evening film screening on the upper deck recounts Red Sea exploration history.

Day 6: Gentle snorkeling near Giftun and final certificate dives for students finishing advanced courses. Crew begin maintenance routines and photo-transfer sessions while guests unwind in the spa or Jacuzzi.

Day 7: Arrival Hurghada Marina mid-morning. Formal clearances completed, luggage delivered dockside, and guests depart carrying not just photos but genuine respect for the Red Sea’s offshore wilderness.

About Our Yacht – LA DATCHA

LA DATCHA combines expedition muscle with aristocratic comfort. Her steel hull and advanced stabilization tame offshore swells; redundant systems guarantee safety far from port. Suites are insulated sanctuaries furnished with natural linens and warm oak. A professional dive platform, decompression station, camera benches and hot-water showers streamline operations. Post-dive recovery flows naturally into spa therapy, Hammam or Jacuzzi. Cuisine adapts to dive schedules—light pre-dive breakfasts, hearty post-dive lunches, and chef-tasting dinners under the awning. The bridge is open for guests wishing to learn navigation basics or chart plotting from the captain.

This Brothers expedition stands alone in the region for its equilibrium between adrenaline and ease. While liveaboards may offer the sites, few deliver them with LA DATCHA’s ratio of space, service and serenity. Book now for the current and visibility window from April to October—spaces vanish early among divers who understand how rare this combination of professionalism and luxury truly is.
