About Our Service in the Southern & Central Dodecanese
This itinerary is crafted for travelers who value seclusion, raw natural beauty, and island authenticity. Over seven days, sail to remote gems like Halki, Karpathos, Kasos, and Astypalaia, before circling back via Nisyros and Symi. From peaceful harbors and monastery visits to dramatic mountain backdrops and hidden beaches, each destination reveals a different face of the Dodecanese. Day 1: Rhodes – Halki (35 NM)
Sail west from Rhodes to the tranquil island of Halki. Drop anchor at Emporio Harbor and explore the island’s pastel-colored architecture, narrow lanes, and serene vibe. Swim at the unspoiled Pondamos Beach or take a scenic walk to the island's iconic Clock Tower for sweeping views. Day 2: Halki – Karpathos (35 NM)
Continue south to Karpathos, a rugged island known for its towering cliffs, turquoise coves, and the cliff-perched village of Olympos. Dock in Pigadia, the island’s main port, and immerse yourself in a place where traditional Greek life remains vibrant and untouched. Day 3: Karpathos – Kasos (15 NM)
Short-hop to neighboring Kasos, a hidden haven for those seeking solitude. Anchor at Fri Port and stroll through the island’s main village or hike toward Agia Marina. Discover welcoming locals, age-old traditions, and unspoiled landscapes that echo the Greece of decades past. Day 4: Kasos – Astypalaia (40 NM)
Make your way to Astypalaia, an island often described as the bridge between the Dodecanese and Cyclades. The picturesque Chora, with its whitewashed houses and Venetian castle, rises above the charming port of Skala. Enjoy a romantic dinner on deck or wander the cobbled paths for a taste of the island’s magic. Day 5: Astypalaia – Nisyros (38 NM)
Sail back toward the volcanic wonder of Nisyros. This time, drop anchor at the lesser-known Pali port. Discover the peaceful Lies Beach or take another stroll through Nikia’s stone alleys. The moonlike landscape of the Stefanos crater and the welcoming tavernas give Nisyros its unforgettable appeal. Day 6: Nisyros – Symi (32 NM)
Cruise north to the enchanting island of Symi. Begin with a tranquil anchorage in Panormitis Bay, home to the iconic Monastery of the Archangel Michael. Later, continue to Gialos Harbor and admire the colorful neoclassical facades. Boutique shops, wine bars, and sea-view dining complete this elegant day. Day 7: Symi – Rhodes (23 NM)
On your final day, sail back to Rhodes with an optional swim stop at Anthony Quinn Bay or Ladiko Beach. Return to Marina Rhodes and close the journey with a celebratory evening in the heart of Rhodes Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich with medieval splendor. About Our Yacht – Lagoon 51
