FORMENTERA
The smallest of Spain's Balearic islands, Formentera is located in the Mediterranean Sea. It is easily accessible by ferry from its busier, better-known island neighbor, Ibiza, and is a well-liked day-trip location in the summer.
It seems odd that Formentera has not yet been fully explored by British tourists. The smallest inhabited Balearic island is a 12-mile-long stretch of coastline scenery with tropical flair, natural parks, and stylish, carefree appeal. Just south of Ibiza, the island of Formentera is home to a variety of beaches, including extensive stretches of sugar-white sand and hidden rocky coves and nooks that are all lapped by shallow cerulean waters. Ses Illetes, which is frequently cited as one of Europe's most beautiful beaches, and Llevant are two of the most popular sand spits; nonetheless, they only have a few wooden beach bars and restaurants. Those who prefer comfort can find sunbeds and umbrellas at Platja Migjorn and other locations. You'll quickly see why Formentera attracts visitors time and time again when you combine this with cliff-edge lighthouses, historic stone watchtowers, and fishing villages.
FORMENTERA WEST ROUTE
Another one of the premier routes is this one. The trip to Ses Illetes is extended by two stops at Cala Saona and the caverns of Cala Saona. When the wind is coming from the east, south, northeast, or southeast, this route is ideal to take. It is not advised to do it while there are westerly winds because the waters will swell depending on the wind's strength. The summer wind often comes from the east in Ibiza and Formentera. On this journey, we have the option of dining at either Ses Illetes or Cala Saona.

FORMENTERA EAST ROUTE
Given that we will be traveling across the eastern portion of Formentera, this route is excellent for days when the wind is from the south or west. It will enable you to take advantage of the island's least-visited locations, such as the Levante Beach or regions with sheltered cliffs that are ideal for spending the night, like Es Cal or Es Pujols, which have long, white sandy beaches and are seldom populated. Some of the greatest restaurants in Formentera offer local specialties as well. If the wind permits it, you shouldn't miss it because it is a highly worthwhile trip.
