Weekly Bareboat Charter: Thassos Island Discovery from Kavala
Kavala Marina is your effortless launch point into the quiet charm of the northern Aegean, placing golden beaches, pine-fringed shores, and friendly harbor towns within easy reach. This is a private bareboat week aboard a modern catamaran that favors shorter legs, generous swim stops, and evenings that flow from sunset swims to taverna dinners. With a flexible plan, you can linger in coves when the water is irresistible or reach the next harbor early to stroll its seafront and stock up on fresh produce.
About Our Service in Thassos & Northern Aegean
The route blends relaxed morning departures with unhurried afternoon arrivals so everyone—families, friends, first-timers—keeps a comfortable rhythm. Sheltered anchorages near sandy beaches make it easy to jump in for a midday swim, while well-serviced ports provide simple access to fuel, water, supplies, and local cuisine. You’ll enjoy the freedom of setting your pace: more beach time when the sea is glassy, more miles when the breeze freshens.
Day 1 (Saturday, 17:00) – Kavala to Nea Peramos (~6 NM)
Check in at Kavala Marina, review safety and systems, then make a gentle evening hop to Nea Peramos. Drop anchor, dine on deck, and ease into Aegean living under a wide velvet sky.
Day 2 (Sunday) – Nea Peramos to Skala Marion (~20 NM)
After breakfast, point toward Thassos. Pause at Ammolofoi Beach for a swim in electric-blue water, then continue to the fishing village of Skala Marion. Cafés by the quay, small markets, and an unhurried pace set the mood for the week.
Day 3 (Monday) – Skala Marion to Limenaria (~10 NM)
A coastal slide brings you to Limenaria, a lively sea-facing town with a promenade, shops, and great seafood. Choose between a marina berth or a calm overnight at anchor depending on your crew’s taste for shore time.
Day 4 (Tuesday) – Limenaria to Aliki Bay & Paradise Beach (~18 NM)
Glide east to Aliki Bay, where ancient marble quarries lie just below the surface. Snorkel above history, wander pine-scented paths, then continue to Paradise Beach for a starlit night in clear, shallow water.
Day 5 (Wednesday) – Paradise Beach to Limenas (~20 NM)
Arrive in Thassos Town (Limenas) for a change of pace. Visit the amphitheater and archaeological museum, then explore boutique-lined streets. It’s an ideal evening for local wine with views over the harbor.
Day 6 (Thursday) – Limenas to Golden Beach (~8 NM)
Short sail, long beach day. Golden Beach offers paddleboarding, snorkeling, and easy shore access for lunch. As dusk falls, the shoreline tavernas glow warm and inviting.
Day 7 (Friday) – Golden Beach to Kavala via Iraklitsa (~25 NM)
Turn back to the mainland, pausing in Iraklitsa Bay for a last swim and lunch at anchor. Reach Kavala by late afternoon and wander the old quarter and castle before your farewell dinner.
Day 8 (Saturday, 09:00) – Disembarkation
Breakfast and checkout—memories packed with blue-on-blue horizons and the easy cadence of island time.
